Marcus Rogers’ story is one of faith, service, and unwavering commitment to spreading the message of God’s love. Born in Weisbaden, Germany on July 19, 1986, Marcus began his journey with the Lord at the tender age of 7. His upbringing, including homeschooling and a brief stint in college, laid the foundation for a life dedicated to service, both in the military and in ministry.
At the age of 18, Marcus made a pivotal decision to join the Army, embarking on a 13-year journey that would take him to the frontlines of conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as a tour in South Korea. It was during these tumultuous times, amidst the chaos of war, that Marcus found solace and strength in his faith. Drawn closer to God, he began to receive visions of worldwide revival and a great army rising up in the last days, fueled by a bold and unrelenting passion for God.
As Marcus continued his military service, the calling on his life became increasingly clear. God had chosen him to set His people on fire, to preach the message of repentance, and to ignite a spark of revival in hearts across the nation. Street preaching and social media became platforms for Marcus to share his message, and soon, doors began to open for him in ways he never imagined.
Today, Marcus Rogers is not only a respected pastor at Firehouse Chicago but also a renowned Christian influencer and musician with a massive following. His journey from the battlefield to the pulpit is a testament to his resilience, faith, and unwavering commitment to God’s call on his life.
In addition to his ministry work, Marcus is the author of “Through The Fire To Be On Fire,” a powerful testament to his journey of faith. He is also working on several other books, each one a testament to the transformative power of God’s love and grace.
Looking ahead, Marcus’s long-term goal is to open a church on the North Side of Chicago called Firehouse, a beacon of hope and revival in the heart of the city. But in the meantime, his short-term goals are no less ambitious – to take the gospel to the streets, feed the homeless, and preach revivals across the nation.
